2020 Graduation Ceremony Program

It is our honor and joy to recognize 53 hardworking, courageous, and resilient students with a Graduation Ceremony, pre-recorded on July 31, August 1, and August 3, 2020, at the Louis R. Christiansen Performing Arts Center at TASIS Dorado. Our structured immediate-family, in-person ceremony format followed all social distancing best practices and complied with the latest local government executive orders and health and safety protocols issued by the CDC.

  • Valedictorian: Zoe Natalia García Baumbeck. The Valedictorian is awarded to the student with the highest academic average which is computed by averaging the cumulative grades for each academic year while in TASIS Dorado during High School. 

  • Salutatorian: Enrique Manuel Carrasco Pérez. The Salutatorian is awarded to the student with the second-highest academic average which is computed by averaging the cumulative grades for each academic year while in TASIS Dorado during High School. 

  • The TASIS Dorado Scholar: Sophia Mercedes Duchateau Ramos, Eva Natalia Soler Cruz, and James Patrick Shoen II. The TASIS Dorado Scholar is awarded to a student who is best recognized by the community as an all-around scholar, who in the spirit of TASIS Dorado: Strives for excellence in all educational areas in and out of the classroom.

  • Visual Arts Award: Valeria Moreda Latour and Graciela Batista De Jesús. Awarded to the senior who, over the course of four years, has excelled and contributed consistently to the Visual Arts Program at TASIS Dorado, while maintaining the core virtues and civility standards that TASIS Dorado exemplifies.

  • Drama Award: Reynaldo J. Falcón Torres and Enrique André Valiente Siberón. Awarded to the senior who, over the course of four years, has excelled and contributed consistently to the Theater Arts Program at TASIS Dorado, while maintaining the core virtues and civility standards that TASIS Dorado exemplifies.

  • Music Award: Mia K. Rodríguez Imbert, Valentina Nevares Falcón, Iván Francisco Castañer-Cividanes, and Julián Ignacio Cortés Sumaza. Awarded to the senior who, over the course of four years, has excelled and contributed consistently to the Music Program at TASIS Dorado, while maintaining the core virtues and civility standards that TASIS Dorado exemplifies.

  • Athletic Award: Angélica Cristina De Jesús Mieres and Ignacio Eloy Peraza Díaz. Awarded to the senior who, over the course of four years, has shown exemplified sportsmanship, positive and constructive leadership as well as participation on numerous athletic teams at TASIS Dorado.

  • Principal's Award: Sophia Mercedes Duchateau Ramos. Presented to the student who performs excellently in all academic areas, actively participates in co-curricular activities ranging from the arts to sports, and possesses a strong commitment to community service inside and outside of the school. 

  • Senior Civility and Core Virtues Award: Awarded to the students who best exemplify civil behavior and commitment to living according to the challenge presented by the Core Virtues.

  • The Priscilla González Stubbe Leadership Award: Eva Natalia Soler Cruz. Awarded to the student who exhibits the strongest leadership skills through involvement in the school, community service, sports, and extracurricular activities, while maintaining high scholarship.  

  • The Louis R. Christiansen Award for Courage: Alejandro Araque. Awarded by the Administration to the graduating twelfth-grade student whose actions demonstrate the qualities of courageous leadership and service in the spirit of Louis Christiansen, founding headmaster of TASIS Dorado.

  • Class President’s Award: Gery Anne Méndez Colón. Awarded by the Administration to the graduating twelfth-grade student who consistently served as class president throughout high school exhibiting strong leadership qualities that embodied a strong work ethic, kindness, initiative, and camaraderie.
